Bourbon vanilla is also cultivated in the Comoros and more particularly on the island of Grande Comore.
This vanilla has nothing to envy its cousins from Reunion and Madagascar in terms of quality.
Origin NGAZIDJA - Grande Comores
Comoros Bourbon vanilla pods are very fleshy pods and a bit larger than the pods usually found in Madagascar.
It is in the north of the island of Grande Comores that Sambavanilla went to look for this magnificent vanilla.
The climate here is ideal for growing vanilla and the pods follow the same ancestral preparation process as in Madagascar.
In the Comoros, tradition has it that it is the women who fertilize the flowers of the vanilla trees. They are called the "vanilla matchmakers"
As soon as you open the bag, you will recognize the incomparable smell of Bourbon vanilla and its balanced fragrance with round and fruity aromas approaching caramel.
The pods are delivered in a vacuum bag to protect them during transport.
We recommend that you open the sachet and aerate the pods for about 24 hours before storing them in a suitable glass tube.
Appearance: Unsplit pods of brownish brown color, fresh and flexible.
Aroma: fruity fragrance with notes of caramel
Size: Length about 13-15m.
