The dosage of your Thai spice blend depends on the level of flavour and spice you want to achieve, as well as the amount of other ingredients in your dish. However, we recommend between 1/2 and 1 teaspoon for light dishes, and up to 2 tablespoons for spicy dishes.
Introducing the Thai spice blend into your recipes will depend on the type of dish you are preparing:
For stir-fried dishes, add the spice blend at the start of cooking, usually after frying your vegetables or proteins in oil. This will allow the flavours to spread evenly.
For curries and soups, introduce the spices after adding the vegetables, meat and liquid. This will give the spices time to blend with the other ingredients and develop their flavour.
For your marinades, mix the spice mixture with other ingredients in your marinade, such as oil, lemon juice or soy sauce. Leave the meat or vegetables to marinate for at least a few hours before cooking.
Remember that it's always best to add spices gradually, tasting as you go, to achieve the perfect balance to suit your personal preferences.
