Pompona vanilla is one of the oldest varieties of vanilla from Madagascar. It is also called "Mexican Vanilla".
Grown in Madagascar, this vanilla does not benefit of the "Bourbon" name reserved for the Planifolia variety.
Pompona vanilla has been gradually abandoned by producers for reasons of profitability. Vanilla plants which produced less flowers had a lower yield than Planifolia plants.
In return, the plants had less pods to feed, it emerges pods of exceptional size whose length can reach up to 25 cm.
Sambavanilla has developed a specific process of refining these pods in wooden boxes of Rosewood which allows to obtain an exceptional product in quality and flavors.
After 9 months of refining, Sambavanilla Pompona vanilla beans have developed exceptional aromas of citrus and liquorice with notes of undergrowth.
This vanilla will sublimate your sweet and savory preparations and the size of the beans will impress your guests.
Beans will be vacuum sealed before shipping.
